Hello everyone - I'm Rocky.   As the "First Pet", I managed to train my owners on the finer points of pet ownership.   For example, us dogs like milkbones.   And tennis balls.   And sleeping on our owner's beds.   And volleyballs.   (Volleyballs??? Read on!) We even like to ride in the back of pickup trucks and on motorcycles!

My absolute favorite pastime is pushing a volleyball around the yard with my snout.   I pretend it's a giant mouse - after all, I am half Dachshund! (The other half is Samoyed - what a combo!)

I always have a smile and wagging tail to offer.   It seems to help on those rare (hehe) occasions when I do something I'm not supposed to do - like the time I chewed up Zepp©'s only dress shirt.   (Hmmmm... Could that be why Zepp© hardly ever wears a shirt? What can I say - I was young!)

Zepp©'s Note: Rocky was truly a loveable dog.   He never met a stranger, and treated everyone - dogs, cats, humans - with the same happy to see you greeting.   He disappeared one night in 1990 after some workmen left the gate open enough for him to get out.   It stormed that night, and we thought he was in the doghouse.   We like to think he found his way to someone else who loved him like we did.   We miss him - even now.
