There's nothing written between the lines
Of this simple poem
These words are written but for one reason
To help in keeping you going

Reach out for a brightened star
Hold it deep within
Let it free your frightened soul
And take away lifes sin

Find comfort in the ones you love
Receive their cheerful smile
Let them soothe your painful heart
If only for a while

Should you need a hand so warm
Placed upon your shoulder
Seek it out, be not afraid
Let it chip away the boulder

Wipe the sadness from your eyes
The terror from your voice
Replace them with more happy times
The ones that are your choice

Sometimes in this world we live
Things aren't always fair
Its not mine to wonder why
It's only mine to care

Take comfort in these words my friend
And know that someone cares
Call on me should the need arise
Whenever you feel scared
